About

John A. LeBlanc is a partner of the firm. He is skilled in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications relating to patent technologies include computer security, databases, flash memory, networking, virtualization technology, telecommunications, data storage management and optimization, software, mechanical devices, and e-commerce.

Prior to joining Jefferson IP Law, Mr. LeBlanc was an associate and senior associate at two large law firms in Washington DC where he focused on securing, and enforcing domestic and foreign intellectual property rights, preparing opinions on intellectual property related assets, and counseling clients on a broad range of intellectual property related matters. He filed and prosecuted ex parte and inter partes reexamination requests and petitions for inter partes review. He managed a large prosecution docket and handled numerous prosecution matters. He represented technology clients in patent disputes in Federal district courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Prior to obtaining his law degree, Mr. LeBlanc worked for over ten years as a software developer developing and implementing systems as an employee of companies such as Oracle, BearingPoint, and Computer Associates. He worked on projects at numerous clients using a variety of technologies including PL/SQL, C, Java, Unix shell scripts, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Workflow, and Visual Basic. He received Oracle Outstanding Achievement Award 2003 and the Oracle QOOL 2001 Award.
